Woodlawn

Total Acreage: 3
Project Begun: 2021

The Woodlawn project is located in Crete township, south of Irie Farms. This project has included extensive restoration of wetlands and prairie; removal of invasive plants, strategic controlled burns, and control of reed canary grass, and other invasive reed grasses. Along with these control measures, we are utilizing phased seeding; the seed mixtures we have used on this prairie has been wildflower heavy, which will provide abundant food source for native bees and other nectar feeding birds and insects.
